Step One
The Process
Family photography sessions are crafted to fit your family’s unique style and interests. Jessica has sought out the most unique and desirable locations in Howard County for your family photography session. Pets are always welcome, because after-all they’re family, too! To inquire about a family session, please fill out the form below. Once you’ve made contact, we’ll discuss your vision, select a date/time and location. Lighting is everything, so sessions either take place in the morning, or evening. A 50% deposit is due upon contract signing which covers planning, communication, location fees, styling and then of course the session time itself.
Step Two
The Session
The day before your family photography session, Jessica will send a reminder email (because we all need those) which will include additional session details. Weather is everything, so if the weather is not on our side, we will schedule a makeup date. Once you arrive, Jessica will capture both posed and non-posed photographs.
Jessica will also help with posing and will be snapping away throughout the session capturing raw moments with each-other; making for the most natural and organic photographs. Jessica is also very interactive with young children during family sessions. As a mother of a 3 and 4 year-old, she has a variety of songs and games to keep your children happy and attentive. Children’s attention spans do not last long, so we’ll aim to capture more posed images of the children at the beginning of your session, then let them wander and play.
Step Three
The Reveal
After your session is done, Jessica will be in touch with you throughout the editing process; sending sneak peaks and discussing the editing style to ensure you’re loving your photographs. Photos are hand-edited meticulously and take time to produce; allowing for a turnaround time of roughly 2-4 weeks. Photos will be delivered via email in a digital gallery where you’ll view your collection. It’s Jessica’s goal to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with your album, so please let her know if you have any questions or concerns.

Let’s face it, between activities, school, work and grocery shopping, life is busy! Wether you have one outfit you love and want to style around that, or you’re starting from scratch, Jessica is here to help. When you book a session, Jessica will email you her family styling guide that includes tips from hair and makeup to color styling pallet ideas.
